WARRANTY SERVICE

Basic Warranty Coverage
Toyota warrants that it will either repair or replace any Toyota supplied component part (limited thereto) that is found defective in material or workmanship under normal use within a period of 36 months or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, except those items listed under “What is Not Covered”

What is covered?

Start of Warranty Coverage

The warranty period begins on the date the vehicle is first delivered or put into use (in service date or date delivered to customer).

 

Separate Warranty Coverage

Tires
Tires are covered under a separate warranty provided by the tire manufacturer. CBU (imported) models with originally equipped tires, is covered for 36 months or 100,000 km, whichever comes first based on tire wear and will be replaced with locally supplied tire in case of failure.

 

Battery
Battery is covered under a separate warranty provided by the battery manufacturer. CBU (imported) models with originally equipped battery is covered for 12 months or 20,000 km., whichever comes first.

 

OTHER PROVISIONS:

Warranty Application
This Warranty is applicable to vehicles registered and operated within the Philippines only.

 

No Charge
Warranty repairs (parts and/or labor) will be made at no charge to you except for consumable items used during the repair.

 

Fully Transferable
Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent vehicle owners. Only the unexpired portion of the warranty period will be taken over by the new owner.

 

Touring/ Relocation to another country
If you are touring or relocating to another country and a problem arises, please consult a local Toyota dealer. Please note, however, that warranty service may not be provided by the local dealer because your Toyota vehicle may not comply with the regulatory and/ or environmental requirements of such country.

 

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

1. Factors beyond the Manufacturer’s Control
Repair and adjustments required as a result of misuse (i.e. racing, overloading, over revving, or similar improper usage), negligence modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustment and accidents are not covered.

Repairs by a non-authorized Toyota dealer or personnel, use of add-on parts/material not supplied by Toyota and use of non Toyota genuine parts are not covered.

Cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint is not covered.

Damages and/or surface corrosion problems due to the environment such as acid rain, airborne fall-out (chemicals, tree sap, etc.), salt, hail, windstorms, lightning, flood, other acts of nature, and acts of terrorism, war and the like are not covered.

Damage arising from excessive use as a public utility franchised vehicle (i.e. Taxi, Shuttle Services etc.) is not covered.

Radio and TVSS malfunction due to frequency interferences in specific areas are not covered.



2. Maintenance
The labor, parts or lubricant costs of maintenance services such as engine tune-up, cooling system and fuel system cleaning, emission adjustments, carbon and sludge removal, brake and clutch adjustments, wheel alignment, tire balancing, and drive belt adjustment are at your own expense.
The replacement of normal maintenance parts such as spark plugs, drive belts, lamp bulbs, fuses, filters, lubricants, worn brake pads and lining or worn clutch linings and fluids are at your own expense.


3. Normal Noise, Vibration and Deterioration
Normal noise, vibration, wear, tear and deterioration such as discoloration, fading, deformation and fabric discoloration are not covered.

 

4. Lack of Maintenance or Use of Wrong Fuel, Oil or Repairs and adjustments caused by wrong low quality fuel, improper maintenance, lack of required maintenance, or the use of fuels and fluids other than those recommended by Toyota are not covered.

 

5. Altered Mileage
Failure of a vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been altered or changed so that vehicle mileage cannot be readily ascertained is not covered by warranty.

 

6. Extra Expenses
Incidental or consequential damages such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, and commercial loss are not covered.
